Not One More Night with the Frogs

📖 Key Text
"Moses said to Pharaoh, 'I leave to you the honor of setting the time for me to pray for you... 'Tomorrow,' Pharaoh said." (Exodus 8:9-10)
💭 Reflection
One of the most incomprehensible passages in the Bible is found in Exodus 8. Egypt was plagued by frogs. They were in the beds, in the ovens, everywhere. The situation was unbearable. When Moses asks Pharaoh when he wants him to pray to God to remove the frogs, Pharaoh responds with an absurd word: "Tomorrow".
Why would anyone choose to spend one more night sleeping with slimy, smelly frogs when they could be free today? The answer is human nature: We get used to our plagues. We tolerate toxic relationships, bad habits, hidden sins, and destructive attitudes, telling ourselves that "tomorrow" we will change.
But "tomorrow" is the devil's favorite word. Today, God is inviting you to say: Not one more night. Do not tolerate one more night of anxiety, of unforgiveness, or of sin. Your freedom is available today.
Oración del día
"Lord, forgive me for getting used to what destroys me. Today I say 'not one more night' to my bad habits, my fears, and my sin. Deliver me today. Amen."
