Keys For Things To Go Well For You

Bible Reading

"Jeremiah 29:11"

Devotional based on Jeremiah 29:11

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11)

🌱 Introduction: God Has Always Wanted Your Good

From Genesis to Revelation, God's heart for mankind is clear: He wants to do you good. From the Garden of Eden, God planned a perfect environment for human beings to thrive. Although sin brought consequences, God never cursed mankind; He only increased their responsibility. His purpose remains intact: that it may go well with you spiritually, within your family, physically, financially, and in your ministry.

But this well-being does not happen by chance. It comes when we align our lives with God's principles. Many want to prosper, but without applying what the Word teaches. That is where everything begins to fall into disorder.

Let's reflect today: Why do things go well for some and not for others? Is it a trial… or is it that we are not applying the right principles?

1️⃣ Do nothing without praying

Prayer is not a spiritual protocol: it is direction, it is communion, it is a compass. Praying is not just asking for goals… it is listening to God before moving forward.

Proverbs 16:3 — “Commit your works to the Lord, and your thoughts will be established.”

Why pray first? Without God, the mind becomes a mess full of anxiety and worry. The world suffers from a silent evil: mental disorder. Disordered thoughts → disordered decisions → disordered results. True prosperity begins in a mind aligned with God. When Jacob prayed, his story changed forever (Genesis 32:9-12).

  • ➡️ Before you act, pray.
  • ➡️ Before you decide, pray.
  • ➡️ Before you start an endeavor, pray.

2️⃣ Obey God above all else

Obedience is not a sacrifice… it is a key.

Genesis 17:1 — “I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless.”

Obedience is… Giving up your own way to follow God's way; acting without excuses; showing total trust; the highest expression of faith.

Deuteronomy 12:28 — “Observe and obey all these words… that it may go well with you.” When you obey, God backs you up; He opens doors; He accelerates what is stalled.

3️⃣ Make an effort: work with dedication

There is no promised land without effort. There is no progress without discipline. There is no growth without consistency.

In the desert, God sent manna… But when they entered the promised land, the manna ceased. Why? Because now they had to work the land.

Joshua 1:7–9 — “Be strong and very courageous… observe to do according to all the law… and then you will have good success.”

Proverbs 13:4 — “The soul of a lazy man desires, and has nothing; but the soul of the diligent shall be made rich.” Effort turns promises into realities.

4️⃣ Discover your purpose

You were not created just to survive, pay bills, or accumulate money. You were created for an eternal purpose. True success comes when your life aligns with God's design for you.

Jeremiah 29:11–14 — “My plans are for your well-being… you will seek Me and find Me…” Many fail because they follow paths that are not meant for them. They work hard… but in the wrong place.

📌 Remember: Money cannot be your purpose (Ecclesiastes 5:10-12). Your true calling brings peace, rest, and fulfillment. God didn't bring you this far to leave you the same. He wants to reveal your assignment to you.

🤲 Ask God for wisdom to understand why He created you and how He wants to use you.

🏁 Conclusion

There are people who watch time pass by… but they do not move forward. Not because God doesn't want to bless them, but because: their thoughts are disordered; their decisions are erratic; obedience is not a priority; effort is lost due to lack of faith; they never seek their purpose. But today you can start over. God has already thought about your well-being. Your future is in His hands… and it is good. You just need to align yourself with His path.

Prayer of the day

"Lord, I want to align myself with your principles: to pray before acting, to obey you above all else, to strive with dedication, and to walk in your purpose. I affirm that your thoughts toward me are of peace. Amen."
