Bible Reading
"Proverbs 26:13 — The sluggard says, 'There is a lion in the road, a fierce lion roaming the streets!'"
🦁 The Excuses We Invent
Often, the biggest obstacle in our spiritual growth is not a formidable external enemy, but our own excuses. The sluggard in Proverbs invents a lion in the street to justify his inactivity. What are your 'lions' today? 'I have no time', 'I'm too tired', 'No one appreciates what I do'. These excuses generate a paralysis in the soul and distance us from God's purpose. Laziness is not just a lack of activity; it is a moral failure that impoverishes us spiritually.
🔥 Time to Wake Up
It's time to stop running from imaginary lions, embrace commitment, and fan into flame the fire of the Spirit in our hearts. The true roaring lion (1 Peter 5:8) is looking to devour you while you remain stagnant. Don't let spiritual boredom (ennui) kill your calling.
Prayer of the day
"Lord, forgive me for the times I've invented excuses not to seek You and serve You. I recognize that laziness and boredom have paralyzed my soul. Help me tear down these imaginary lions in my mind. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit, give me diligence, action, and passion for You. I want to be productive in Your Kingdom and live with enthusiasm. In the name of Jesus, Amen."
