📖 Key Text
"Simon Peter answered and said, 'You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.'" (Matthew 16:16)
💭 Reflection
Jesus didn't ask for popular opinions. He asked directly: And you, who do you say that I am? It is the most important question a human being can answer.
Many say they believe in God, but they have reduced Him to something manageable: an idol they mold to their convenience (Isaiah 40:18-20), an impersonal concept like "an energy" or "a force" (Acts 17:23), a religion of empty rituals like Cain's offering (Genesis 4:3-5), or a hobby they practice when they have spare time.
But God is none of those things.
Peter understood it: God is the LIVING Christ. He is not a wooden idol that does not speak. He is not a philosophical concept that does not confront. He is not a tradition you fulfill out of obligation. He is not a hobby you abandon when you feel like it.
He is the God who created everything (Acts 17:24), to whom we will give an account (Romans 14:12), the sovereign Lord of all creation, and the Father who loved you so much that He gave His own Son for you (John 3:16).
What does God mean to you TODAY? Is your faith sacrificial — or superficial?

💪 Action of the Day
Today: Answer honestly in your heart: What has God been to you until now? A comfortable idol, a distant concept, a Sunday religion, or an optional hobby? Take a moment to pray and tell Him: "Today I want to see You for who You really are."
