💭 Express Reflection (3 min)

We live in a world that constantly talks about disconnecting from "toxic people." But what happens when that unbearable person is your boss, your father-in-law, your spouse, or even your child? What happens when they are complex relationships that you simply cannot erase from your life?

David had to deal with Saul, a man consumed by insecurity and jealousy. Through suffering, David learned not to be an emotional punching bag, but he also didn't seek revenge. He understood that behind a difficult person there is almost always an unhealed heart.

Tolerating does not mean accepting abuse. Tolerating is letting go of the need for revenge. It is time to surrender that relationship to God, set healthy boundaries, and pray for that person.

🙏 Express Prayer

Lord, I don't know what trauma or pain hides in the heart of that difficult person in my life, but I thank You because You loved me when I didn't deserve it either. Fill me with Your grace to set healthy boundaries and to love without letting myself be destroyed by bitterness. Amen.
